This senior won Best in Show at the annual Retired Teachers' Association Art Show. He also won several regional and state art awards for his art.

State Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox announced the winners of the inaugural Superintendent’s Distinguished Achievement awards. Brooks County High School made the list of the top 10 schools in the state of Georgia who showed the greatest improvement on the End-of –Course Tests (EOCT) in Biology.

The band thrilled the crowds this past football season with a tribute to singer Michael Jackson.

Students are able to take college course while in high school, earning college credit and certification in certain areas. One of the many courses is Patient Care taught by Carolyn Grant, an Instructor from Valdosta Techncial College.

Student Council Members and the awesome Art Department rolled out the red carpet for last year's Hollywood Homecoming Dance!

Brooks County High School was chosen as the winner of a Georgia High School Association (GHSA) 2008 Cooperative Spirit Sportsmanship Award for the 2007-2008 season. This award is given to honor GHSA schools that exhibit exemplary sportsmanship during competitive events. BCHS is among 37 schools as winners of this exceptional award. Schools are selected based on sportsmanship demonstrated by athletes as well as that of fellow students, parents, coaches and spectators alike, making the award a tribute to the school community. The award is sponsored by Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (GEMC).
