I returned to college at age 42 after over 20 years as a successful business owner to pursue a degree in Eductation. Graduating from college at age 45, I began teaching at Brooks County Middle school where I taught for four years. In 2000, I started my Masters Degree in Secondary Education and began teaching Literature and Composition at BCHS. I continued with a Specialist Degree in Secondary Education and later added a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science. I have recently joined the adjunct faculty of South Georgia College Entry Program at Valdosta State University, teaching English 1102. My greatest joy has been seeing former BCHS students in my college class. I love teaching students to understand and appreciate literature and helping them develop their writing talents so that they can effectively express their thoughts. I am a wife and a mother of two grown children and live right here in Quitman. This is my home. This is my school. I am proud of teaching in Brooks County.
