My name is Katie Small.  I was born here in Quitman, Georgia to S. J. And Susie M. Jordan. I have four sisters and four brothers. I am the eldest of my siblings. I was educated in the Brooks County school system and graduated from Washington Street High School. I attended Suwannee River Junior College in Madison, Fla. and the transferred to Abany State College, now Albany State University in Albany, Georgia. I  worked my first two years in Lowndes County and have been emplyed in Brooks County since I left Lowndes County. I have taught for numerous years and plan to continue for a few more years.   I live in Quitman with my husband, William Small.  We have four daughters and nine grandchildren.  I believe that all students can learn and behave appropriately. I enjoy teaching and it is a rewarding experience for me.
