I was born and raised in Miami, Florida.  I am the youngest of five children, one of which is my twin sister.  I am the proud mother of one child who is a sixth grader this year.

I attended the University of Florida where I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education.  Go Gators! I also earned my Educational Specialist in Early Literacy and Reading  from Nova Southeastern University this past year.

I have been teaching for sixteen years, but this is my second year teaching fourth grade.  I taught in Miami,Florida for  eleven years before relocating to south Georgia.  I have been at QES for five years.

I enjoy playing the piano, reading, surfing the Internet,and writing motivational songs to use in my science classroom.

My educational philosophy is that all children can succeed if given the opportunity to learn. I believe when a child can read they can succeed in everything they do.
