My name is Christy Baxter, and I am a mother of seven beautiful children.  I graduated from Valdosta State University, and I currently have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  My major in college was Reading and Math.  I have been teaching at Quitman Elementary for five years.  I taught third grade for two years, fifth grade for one year, and I am in my second year of teaching first grade.  I love to read, spend time with my family, and travel during the summer.  My favorite color is baby blue, because I find it to be very calming and peaceful.  My hero is my father, because he has always pushed me to try my best.  I love teaching, because I enjoy watching children learn and grow!
