Coach Freeman Recognized
Coach Maurice Freeman has been recognized as the 2012 Coach of the year and is now the State Representative of Football by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association
For the first time since 2002, Brooks County High School’s Lady Trojans are the 2012 region 1-AA Champions. Brooks County won over Thomasville Friday evening claiming its second region title in the school’s history. Jasmine Mapp scored 32 points for the Lady Trojans and the team will go on to the state tournament for the third year in a row. Coach Lamar Thomas said that the team has been striving hard to make strides to be the region champs and placed second the previous year.
Our students compete and excel at regional and state level competitions in football, basketball, cross-country, golf, tennis, boys and girls track, wrestling, baseball, girls softball and soccer. Brooks County has a rich history of producing outstanding athletes who have been awarded many athletic college scholarships and advanced to the professional level. We encourage our students to participate in extra-curricular activities.
