Academic Teaching Teams
Every student attending Brooks County Middle School will be assigned to an academic team. Each team will consist of teachers who will teach the five academic areas- math, reading, language arts, science, and social studies. With the flexibility allowed by the middle school concept, teachers will have the opportunity to group students throughout the year as necessary to meet the needs of the students on their team.
Connections Classes
An integral part of the middle school concept, connection classes offer students the opportunity to try a variety of different classes before entering high school. Brooks County Middle School offers to each grade level the opportunity to take classes in art, careers, computers, agriculture, music and technology. Physical Education and health will also be taught at this level. Connections, P.E. and Health classes last nine weeks.
