Principal Ervin Sloan
Ervin Sloan has served in the Brooks County Schools as an administrator for twenty-two years, thirteen as an assistant principal and nine as a principal. Previous to that, he had also taught at every grade level, including vocational in Marketing Education (DECA). During his first year of teaching he taught in Vidalia, Georgia. He has been back in Brooks County ever since.
Mr. Sloan has earned a Masters degree in Physical Education/ Health and a Specialist degree in Administration.
According to Mr. Sloan, when he was a student he had good teachers that enjoyed their jobs and that influenced him to become an educator also.
As an administrator today, Mr. Sloan sees his role as that of an organizer who prefers to allow others do their jobs.
Mr. Sloan is a member of PAGE, he is active in his church, and serves on the North Brooks Elementary School Council.
