Explore New Worlds - READ at North Brooks Elementary!
Eighty minutes are dedicated each day to non-interrupted reading instruction for all students in grades K-5. Students are grouped for this period according to their individual reading levels. All support teachers are engaged with reading groups during this block of time. The smaller-grouping with direct instructional methods contributes to the overall success of students. The school is a recipient of an E-Math grant that provides fund for Smart Board computer technology in every classroom grades 3rd through 5th. The interaction that Smart Boards provide during regular instruction keeps students motivated, focused and involved.
A full-time nurse, counselor, and media specialist are on staff. All North Brooks teachers are fully certified and highly qualified. Teams of teachers plan together each day so that best practices and innovative ideas for teaching can be shared and utilized for all students.
