New Parent Tool Coming to Brooks County Schools
The Brooks County Schools is pleased to announce a new staff grade book tool with parent component to check grades and behavior. Parents and staff have been using Crosspointe for the past two years and beginning in September Infinite Campus will be introduced. Teachers and staff are in the process of being trained on the new system and plans for parents to be trained sometime late September. The new parent component will feature up-to-date real-time student attendance information to parents and guardians in a calendar view. Parents will have the ability to update phone numbers, emails, home addresses, student demographics, and contact information through Infinite Campus.
With the new system parents will be able to have access to their child’s schedules, assignments, assessment scores, grades, completed standards and credits, attendance, behavior, health, learning plans, transportation information, fees, to-do lists, district and school notices, classroom newsletters, unofficial transcript, direct messages from staff, reports and more. “We are very excited to bring Infinite Campus to both our staff and parents,” stated Kathy Flowers Technology Specialist, “We are planning to train our staff first and get them comfortable and work out any issues and then provide access for our parents.” Training will be offered for parents once the system goes live. We are asking parents to contact their child’s teacher by email to check on grades in between progress reports. Teacher email addresses can be found on the system website by clicking on the staff link on the main page. Progress report will be going home September 14. The end of the 1st nine weeks will be October 5.
